Our Spiritual Bearings

Embedded in the phrase “purpose-driven believers” are the five spiritual bearings (reference points) that need to be aligned and balanced to insure that we accomplish our mission and experience our vision.

Our bearings:

Worship…glorifying the triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, by the joyful expressions of our love and awe. (Matthew 22:37-39; John 4:24; Ephesians 5:18-21; Psalm 100)

Fellowship…nurturing healthy relationships that produce a unified, peacemaking family of believers. (Matthew 18:15-20; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:1-5:2)

Discipleship…being transformed into Christ’s likeness in every area of our lives. (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 6:40; I Corinthians 4:16;
Philippians 2:5)

Ministry...serving each other with our gifts, talents, and abilities.
(John 13:12-17; Matthew 23:11; Ephesians 4:11-16; I Peter 4:10-11)

Evangelism….partnering with Jesus in His global “search and rescue” mission. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 5:19; Luke 19:10; John 1:41-42, 3:16-18, 4:34-38; Acts 1:8; II Corinthians 5:14-21)
