Testimony:

I trusted Christ as my Savior when I was twelve years old in my home church, Hagerstown Bible Church, Hagerstown, Maryland. I spent my high school years involved in Youth for Christ and musical competitions. I went to Bible college to learn God's word and then to seminary to prepare for the pastorate. I married during seminary and served as a youth director until graduation. I was an associate pastor for two years, and then planted my first church (Montgomery Evangelical Free Church) in Maryland (1976). I stayed there for the next 17 years. I left that church to pastor a well-established church for three years in Wisconsin (Calvary Community Church) until I accepted the challenge of starting Three Rivers Church in 1996. Unless God indicates otherwise, Anne and I plan to minister here for the next 10 years.

One of the reasons we want to stay so long at this church is because God is doing something among this wonderful congregation of diverse people. Anne and I are watching God glorify Himself through changed lives. We so enjoy the ministry here. A second reason we want to stay is that long pastorates tend to be good for a church's ability to grow and reach its God-given potential. We hope you'll join us to worship and serve our great Lord and Savior, Jesus. We love and admire Him so, and want you to love Him as much as we do.

Testimony:

I was raised in a great christian family! I am so thankful that I was able to not only hear about Jesus Christ but I was able to see him through the love of my parents! As a result, I prayed a prayer of salvation at a very young age.

It wasn't until my teenage years when I really felt the desire to live my life for God. My church youth group was instrumental in helping me through such awkward times. It was also during this time where I began to develop great relationships with certain adults. These mentors helped me to see that youth is not an excuse to avoid God's calling. The truth was that God already had things he wanted to do in and through me. This is where I became heavily involved in church music and was eventually led to Three Rivers Church.

I grew up in a christian family and gave my life to Jesus at the age of 12. I didn't really understand fully what it meant to live for the Lord until I was in college. During my sophmore year in college God turned my life around from struggles with an ugly attitude, alcohol, and partying. It was my sophmore year in college that God called me to ministry and to serve with the youth of this generation. I have been working in youth ministry for 9 years now.
