Our Mission
Living Waters Learning Center exists to magnify the name of Jesus Christ, to invite children to trust in God's saving grace, and to help children mature in their faith by teaching God's Word in age-appropriate, creative and real-life, applicable ways.
Our Values
- Each child is a unique creation of God.
- Memorizing God's word is important.
- We like to sing fun and worshipful music.
- We teach children that they can talk to God anywhere at anytime.
- We joyfully love each child with patience, kindness, and gentleness (1 Corinthians 13)
- We help children in developing a biblical worldview and in defending their faith.
Guidelines
Nursery through Kindergarten
- Aplly the "Golden Rule" (Matthew 7:12). IF your child has been ill within the last 24 hours with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or green nasal discharge, please don't bring him or her, for the well-being of the other children.
- Put a name tag on child and label child's belongings (especially cups).
- Inform the child care providers of any special needs with regard to your child's care.
Security Procedures
- Each child in the nursery up through kindergarten has been assigned a 2-part name tag.
- Each name tag has a unique 3-digit number.
- Parents sign in their child and take one name tag.
- Parents pick up their child by bringing back the name tag and signing out their child.
- If the parent is needed from the worship service, the child's 3-digit number will be flashed on the screen.
All Children
- Pick up your child PROMPTLY after the close of service so that the staff can prepare for tear-down.
- Make sure your child respects the school building and does not use/play with items belonging to the school.
- Age-appropriate discipline will follow this outline:
1st - warning
2nd - separation from group or activity
3rd - parental notification
We will do our best to make your child feel welcome and loved. If your child is excessivly upset and needs you, rest assured, we will retrieve you.
Your Part
The Living Waters Learning Center is a co-operative effort. All parents with children in classes are asked to participate as a teacher or helper on a rotation basis. This allows our children's ministry to be fully staffed.
